- Mat Program - At BASI, we regard Pilates Mat work as the“crown jewel” of Pilates.
The Pilates Mat Teacher Training Program is the perfect vehicle for learning the principles of the Pilates Method. It is affordable, easy to integrate into different settings and a great way to introduce people to Pilates. The Mat Program provides a thorough education in Pilates Mat work and its infinite applications. It is also the perfect springboard into the Comprehensive Programs offered in the U.S. and globally. The Mat Program is often taught as a part of the Comprehensive Program and is the same curriculum for U.S. and international students.- This 6-module program comprises 24 hours of lecture, discussion, exercise practice, and analysis.

- Comprehensive Program (USA) -The BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training Program gives students in-depth knowledge of Pilates theory, exercises, and skills to teach up to advanced-level clients on the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, F2 Spine Corrector, F2 Arm Chair, Ped-a-Pul, Mat, and other auxiliary apparatus.
Graduates of the Comprehensive Program are well-equipped for a successful, enduring career in the Pilates industry. They are qualified to take the exam to become a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT).
- In the USA, the program is divided into two sections
- Foundation Program - The Foundation Program is the exciting beginning of the Comprehensive Teacher Training journey. The Foundation Program includes the full Mat Program and a thorough introduction to fundamental and intermediate exercises on the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, and Ped-a-Pul.
- Graduate Program - The Graduate Program prepares students for an enduring career as a Pilates teacher. It is the second half of the Comprehensive Program USA.
- Comprehensive Program - Learn to teach up to advanced-level clients on the full suite of Pilates equipment.
The BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training Program gives students in-depth knowledge of Pilates theory, exercises, and skills to teach advanced-level clients on the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, F2 Spine Corrector, F2 Arm Chair, Ped-a-Pul, Mat, and other auxiliary apparatus. Graduates of the Comprehensive Program are well equipped for a successful, enduring career in the Pilates industry and are qualified to take the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) exam to become a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT). The BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training Program consists of 12 modules.
Requirements:
To receive a BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teaching Certificate, students must complete the following graduation requirements:
- Attend all Modules
- Pass all online written exams
- Complete a minimum of 100 Observation hours
- Complete a minimum of 200 Self-Practice hours
- Complete a minimum of 200 Student Teaching hours
- Pass the final practical exam
- Pass final teaching evaluation
- Submit and receive a passing grade on student term paper
The final practical exam and final teaching evaluation are conducted during the next program run at your Host Studio location or during any program held at any Host Studio location worldwide.

Students are encouraged to begin their student hours as soon as they begin the program. Up to 50% of Observation hours may be completed via BASI Interactive.
